Travel Quote Series: Quote 2

This is the underlying motto of the series we are currently going through here at KAT's blog! We all know traveling brings butterflies of excitement and what seems to be an escape from our realities. But what if it wasn’t just that. What if you discover it plays a role in who you are - humanly and spiritually?! What if I told you that traveling brings about a new perspective of purpose in your life each and every time you embarked on a new journey? Sounds enlightening right! Maybe even challenging - I hope. If you are up for the adventure, let’s dive in for the second time.

Quote 2:

Ps. 16:11 // “You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”

When I was younger, and still in times today, when I have a rough week or sometimes even month, I think, “I’m buying a plane ticket…tonight!” Ha. Silly me. You see I never actually buy the ticket, but for a brief second, I think I need to escape the life I’m living. Now, before I go any further, let me clarify. Some of us need to escape the sinful life we are living in, this is true. But life itself is one you cannot escape, nor should you want to. It’s a beautiful thing when traveling in the correct direction.

The more we travel this earth we are grounded to, the more we understand. The more we appreciate. The more our reality of the earth changes. Scripturally, the same idea is presented. You are reborn. A baby stage. You need to be in a home that is safe and where you can be taught whilst being protected from germs and outside negative influences. In scripture the same is described. God highly suggests a community of righteous influence. He wouldn’t send you out onto the mission fields of a 3rd world country right away. You need to grow and learn.

If you followed up through the stages to reach adulthood, you may have traveled to many countries, seen many cultures, and have a comprehension of this world that has more depth than simply what media provides us with. In the same token, as a mature child of Almighty God, you may have seen demons cast from people, heard God speak to you, and may have been lead by the Holy Spirit to do something humanly ignorant.

God makes known to us the path of life. If you choose to travel through it with an open, growing spirit, there will be a fullness of joy and pleasures forevermore. If your fear or comfort stunts your growth, well, you will never experience the fullness of the life you were meant to live. Traveling brings purpose.
